How to see if your site is indexed

Here’s a very simple command to use in google to see if your site is indexed yet.  All you have to do is go to Google and type in site:http://www.yoursite.com.

If you see pages come up from your site, then you’ll know you’ve at least been indexed by Google.  If you’re not indexed yet, you’ll have to look at your site and make sure the navigation is correct and your site is live.  To get the G-bot to visit your site, you can link to it from another page or submit your xml feed via Google’s Webmaster site.

Here’s some very quick and simple SEO tips that you can use to help better the SEO on your site.

1. Decide on your target keyword.

2. Make sure you have your keyword in the following places: page title, url (filename or path), and in an h1 header tag within the first 200 characters of the text on your page.

That’s it.  Do this and you’ll rank #1 for any keyword!! Just kidding.  there’s a lot more to it than this, but these are just some basic (very) steps that you can take to optimize your page.
