You might be naturally wondering how I and my team actually go about getting better rankings for your site and for the sites that I build to promote your business. Of course I can’t give away all of my SEO secrets, but I can tell you a few things that we do.
First of all, if you have a website, we’ll see how it is currently performing and if it is even indexed at all. We’ll also take a look at your current site and evaluate what could be improved and changed. Sometimes, customers need major work done and other times, a few simple tweaks will help. In some cases, it might be best to focus on a completely new site to build your web presence on.
In addition to on-site factors, there are off-site factors that determine your ranking, and these factors are usually more heavily weighted. See, search engines will consider things like who is linking to your site and how many links are pointing to your site from different domains, IP ranges, and types of content. It will also try to determine if you are SPAMMING, which can penalize you.
A combination of these factors and many other factors will determine whether your site ends up on page 1 or page 5 or page 950. The goal, obviously, is to get to spots 1-3 on page 1.
There are many tools we have at our disposal. In addition to improving the ranking of your domain, depending upon the agreement we have, we will also work to get you other listings in the top 10 for your keyword phrase.
